How We Actually Track and Verify Picks
We get this question a lot: "How do you know these picks are real?"
Fair question. The internet is full of cappers who post their "record" but conveniently delete the losses. Here's how we do it differently.
Every Pick Gets a Timestamp
When a pick is submitted β whether it comes from a capper posting directly or from our scraper pulling public posts β it gets a timestamp. That timestamp is locked. No one can change it. Not the capper, not us, not anyone.
This means you can go to any capper's profile and see exactly when each pick was posted relative to game time. Pre-game picks are clearly marked. No retroactive "I totally had that" claims.
Results Are Automated
We don't manually mark picks as wins or losses. Our settlement system pulls game results from multiple sports data APIs and automatically resolves each pick. If the Celtics covered -4.5 and a capper had Celtics -4.5, it's marked as a win. No human judgment involved.
The system cross-references multiple data sources to make sure results are accurate. If there's a discrepancy, the pick gets flagged for review rather than auto-settled incorrectly.
Nothing Gets Deleted
This is the big one. Cappers can't delete their losing picks. Every pick β win, loss, or push β stays on record permanently. When you see someone's record on PickSignal, you're seeing ALL of it.
Compare this to Twitter or Reddit where someone can delete a bad take before anyone screenshots it. That doesn't happen here. The pick history page shows everything.
Why This Matters
We're not claiming everyone on the platform is profitable. Most cappers aren't β that's the honest reality. But at least you can see that for yourself instead of taking someone's word for it.
When a capper on our leaderboard shows a 60% win rate, that number is real. It's based on verified, timestamped picks with automated settlement. No fluff.
That's the whole idea behind building this thing. Not to pretend everyone wins β just to make it impossible to pretend you won when you didn't.
